![]() Equipment: - Normal mode any silver or higher bow will beat it with little problems: just have a healthy supply of flaming / frostburn arrows - Snowball cannon is great for clearing out minis - Double jump is especially helpful in second phase - Space gun obliterates this boss, even on expert it's very viable - This boss is pretty easy to do on 100 HP in normal, expert should have 200-300 Expert drop is Shield of Cthulhu, which gives you +2 defense and a dash ability: very helpful in pre-hardmode and even through some of hardmode Extra recommendations! (brought to you by not me) - Grenades can clear away the minis and deal heavy damage at the same time. Predictable pattern and doesn't hit particularly hard. Extra recommendations! (brought to you by not me) - An arena with a tall rope / grappling onto a high ceiling, then using ranged or magic weapons makes you unkillable (thanks 78ch3) - You can easily win with just a pit of lava (thanks 78ch3) - Using dart and boulder traps if you have the mechanic is very effective (thanks 78ch3) Eye of Cthulhu I actually consider this easier than King Slime in normal mode. Equipment recommendations: - Decent armour: King Slime hits surprisingly hard - Water Bolt is amazing if you can get it - Grenades clear out the small slimes really well - If you're melee, use a boomerang: King Slime's attack is pretty high considering how easy he's usually considered - Minishark + meteor shot's pretty dang good - Double jump or grappling hook is basically a necessity - 100 HP is doable in normal mode, but I'd say try for 160-200 - As much HP and defense as possible in expert Expert mode makes him drop the Royal Gel, which isn't particularly useful but can be during later Slime Rain events. ^ gonna do some boss tips too King Slime Pretty easy, just don't get hit and use a piercing weapon (e.g. ![]() Preferred Weapons: Melee: Enchanted Sword, Enchanted Boomerang Mage: Waterbolt Ranged: Best weapon you can get, preferably a gun as bullets have better velocity Drops Shield of Cthulhu in Expert Mode, which is a really useful movement equipment until you can get Lightning or Frostspark boots. For his second form, use platforms+grapple to get away. For his first form, use Slimy Saddle and repeatedly jump on him. You might get slimy saddle from this kid. Pro Tips: Main Boss: King Slime: Really easy. WoF did give me trouble back in the day XD but I was a sad pleb noob back then. None of them were that challenging, if you're properly equipped. Ranged has to be Vortex Beater (use with chlorophyte bullets for ez Moon lord takedown) Throwing is bad. I love slopes because it makes stuff look smooth :3 My favorite melee is Meowmere.
